The Wabash Hotel was erected in 1909, designed by the firm of Trost & Trost. The two-story structure was gutted by fire in 2016, but its four outer walls are still standing. Originally built for Hugh McLean and D.N. Washburn, the contractor was Sorenson & Morgan. For more information, please see https://www.henrytrost.org/buildings/wabash-hotel/
Photograph of the extant “shell” of the building, which had been destroyed by fire, is a Google Earth Street View accessed 03/30/2022.
