Sunshine Theater was Albuquerque’s first Movie Palace, designed by Trost & Trost and erected in 1924. It originally housed a 920 seat movie theater, along with upper-floor offices. Costing over $200,000 to build, the buff-brick 6 story building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and stands today in excellent condition.
