The R.B. Stevens Building was completed in 1921, designed by iconic El Paso architect Guy Lewis Fraser. In 1928, the firm of Trost & Trost performed an upper-floor remodel of the office structure into apartments at a cost of $50,000. Early photographs of the building, located at Piedras and Yandell in 5 Points, lead us to conclude that the remodel was to the building interior only.
