The Lower Valley Church and Community Center was erected in 1924, designed in a Pueblo style with both Spanish and Mission features by Trost & Trost. The structure, which was dedicated on February 29th of that year and built at a cost of $15,000, stands today in good condition. During its history, it was also known as the Ysleta Community Center and the Alameda Community Center, and today is maintained as a commercial building. Immediately to the east of the Community Center building is a wonderfully designed Mission Revival styled Church building with Gothic accents, which may (or may not) have been part of the original complex. Building architecture leads us to believe that they were built during different periods, or designed by different architects. We will update this entry as research becomes available.
