JC Penney, Miami AZ

The JC Penney Building in Miami, Arizona was erected 1922-1923, designed in a simple Commercial style by Trost & Trost. Erection cost was $7,500, and it was built concurrently with two other Trost buildings in Miami: the Buena Vista School and the Miami High School addition. The building stands today, although it is vacant and deteriorating. This building became known as a Trost design through the research of Margaret Smith.
