The Luhrs Family Collection in Phoenix, AZ contains a pair of watercolor drawings from the firm of Trost & Trost discovered by researchers Lloyd C. and June F. Engelbrecht, depicting a remodel of the front facade of the circa 1920s Luhrs Hotel. The hotel is long demolished, and it is not known whether the remodel actually took place. The Phoenix Historic Building Survey (Phoenix: City Planning Department, 1979; Charles Hall Page & Associates, Inc., San Francisco, with Historical Research by Robert R. Frankeberger) states that Trost & Trost performed the remodel in 1924, however lacks sufficient documentation.
