Hotel Building Dodge City

The Dodge City Times of 12/10/1885 stated: “George B. Cox intends putting up a hotel building that will cost $50,000. The plan has been drawn by Weston & Trost, architects, of this city. The building will be erected on the site of the Dodge House Stable, and work will commence early in February.” The firm of Trost & Weston practiced briefly in Dodge City, Kansas and then in later years Pueblo, Colorado. We are unaware whether this Hotel was actually built.
