Escontrias School

Escontrias School was erected in 1924 in Socorro, Texas, designed in a Mission Revival style by Trost & Trost. Although the school building has been remodeled, it still bears much of the original Trost design flavor and is in excellent condition today. For more information, including the story of Silvario Escontrias, who donated the land, please see https://www.facebook.com/TrostSociety/posts/2283242911793762 and https://www.henrytrost.org/buildings/escontrias-school/

Modern photography was taken on 6/10/2007 by El Paso architect Edgar Lopez from his Flickr page and used by express permission, copyright © Edgar Lopez 2007 all rights reserved.
