Hotel Paso Del Norte

Navajo Hotel

The Navajo Hotel was erected in 1901-1902 in Morenci, Arizona, designed by the firm of Trost & Rust, with Robert Rust acting as lead architect. Also known as the Hotel Morenci, this 3-story structure cost $30,000 to build and had 24 guest rooms. The building design is described as Moorish by some historical sources, however period pictures show a Spanish/Mission Revival eclectic blend, very reminiscent of other Arizona buildings in the same design from both Henry C. Trost as an individual, and the firm of Trost & Rust. For more information, please see https://www.henrytrost.org/buildings/detroit-copper-company-hotel/
