A retail store and gas station was to have been built on the Corralitos Ranch along a new concrete highway being built between El Paso and Las Cruces. The Corralitos Ranch comprised a quarter million acres to the southwest of Mesilla, New Mexico, and this retail structure was meant to take advantage of the increased automobile traffic on the new road.
