B.P.O.E. Building Winslow

The BPOE Elks Lodge in Winslow, Arizona, was possibly designed by the firm of Trost & Trost, and erected in 1923. Standing today, the building is in very good condition. The Winslow B.P.O.E. Lodge #536 website had a historical narrative about the building, claiming that it was a Trost design; additionally the Henry C, Trost Historical Organization had a page at their website claiming the same. However, both pages have been removed. In Google Search results, we see that the B.P.O.E. site had the phrase: “Olds Brothers of Winslow constructed the building to specifications developed by Trost and Trost, an architectural firm represented in Arizona by George M.”

We are unable to find documentary evidence attributing the building to Trost, nevertheless believe it may be the firm’s design based on its appearance.
