The Bank of Deming was erected in 1892 or 1893 in a Richardson Romanesque architectural style, designed by the firm of Sherpe and Koker of St. Louis. At a 25th Anniversary celebration in 1917, the Bank announced that Trost & Trost would be remodeling the building. Most of the Trost & Trost work was interior remodel, however we believe the firm may have done a restoration of the exterior. The building stands today, although neglected and largely vacant.
Many historical enthusiasts confuse this building with the Deming National Bank, which is a 1914 building designed by Trost & Trost one block to the west.
