Holliday Hall is one of the first buildings constructed at The University of Texas at El Paso. Designed by Trost & Trost Architects, the ensemble included Old Main, Vowell Hall, Graham Hall, and Holliday Hall. The Bhutanese-inspired building features deep inset windows and an elegant roof overhang.
The building was first attributed to Henry C. Trost’s brother, Gustavus Trost, based on four sheets of sketches in the El Paso Public Library, each labeled as “Trost & Trost Architects.” It is also based on the previous work of Trost & Trost for the campus, and the subsequent work of Gustavus A. Trost for Trost & Trost at the University.
